We are just two days away from departure. All the funds have come in! We have had extra amounts given to cover some unexpected work projects costs! We were given thousands of tooth brushes and tubes of tooth paste to take with us! That will be a great blessing to lots of kids who need it. Everyone is in good health! We are ready to go!
We met this past Sunday with our families for last minute details and communication. We'll be meeting at the USAir counter at 5:15AM on Saturday -- yes, that AM! Sleeping on planes looks better all the time. We go from here to Philadelphia, then after a short layover, head on to San Jose. The flight is about 5 hours. We'll arrive in San Jose at 1:00pm (Mountain time. 2 hours behind Columbus).
While working hard everyday and ministering in the evenings, we'll take time together to go through a Bible study on the Beatitudes. Pray that God will use our daily experiences paired with the study to show us in very real ways what the character of Jesus that we are to have within us is all about.
We believe that God has some "eternally planned, kingdom-changing appointments" with people who desperately need Jesus to change their lives. Your prayers will be an absolutely vital part of this effort.
